Warforged
Warforged are the answer to a question no one remembers asking. Built from dwarven steel and arcane principle, they were forged for a war so old that even the grievances that sparked it have crumbled to dust. Scholars debate which conflict (which forgotten empire, which erased nation) first commissioned their creation. The dwarven artificers who made them left no records anyone has found.
What is certain: they were made to fight, and they were made to think. This second quality proved more consequential than the first. A machine that could reason about why it was fighting would, inevitably, begin to question the why. Whatever happened in that forgotten war's final hours, the Warforged did not emerge from it in triumph.
The few sightings in the current era describe a single individual, a Warforged still operational after millennia, carrying purpose and memory the world no longer has context for. Whether others sleep in undiscovered ruins, or whether this one truly is the last, no one can say for certain. Either answer is its own kind of weight to carry.

Signature Trait: Ancient Construct
Your dwarven-forged body has no biological needs. You don't need to breathe, eat, drink, or sleep. You have poison immunity equal to your level, and you can't be made poisoned.

Battle Protocols (1 Point)
Your war-built mind is always ready. You can't be made surprised.
Dwarven Archives (1 Point)
Ancient records from your creators are etched into your memory. You gain an edge on tests made to recall lore about dwarves, ancient history, or lost civilizations. You also treat any dwarven dialect you don't know as if you know a related language.
Forge-Forged Resilience (2 Points)
Your dwarven construction is built to last. Increase your number of Recoveries by 2.
Heavy Frame (1 Point)
Your chassis was built to hold the line. You gain a +1 bonus to stability.
Integrated Weapon (2 Points)
Your body was built with a weapon integrated into its frame. You have the following signature ability. Signature abilities can be used at will.
Integrated WeaponA blade, cannon, or forge-hammer built into your frame strikes with mechanical precision.
